Hi, I'm Yvette
A qualified primary school teacher who genuinely loves helping children rediscover their confidence — one warm, encouraging session at a time.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher, PGCE qualified with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Over the years I’ve taught right across the primary age range, in a number of different schools, supporting children of all abilities — including children with special educational needs.
For the last three years I’ve had the joy of tutoring children one-to-one in English and Maths. It’s where I see the biggest difference: a child who arrives unsure of themselves and, week by week, starts to sit a little taller, try a little harder and smile a little wider.
My background spans classroom teaching, tutoring, SEN support, and literacy and numeracy intervention. But if I had to sum up what I actually do, it’s this: I help children believe in themselves, and I help their parents feel reassured.
I’m also committed to growing as an educator. Alongside my teaching and tutoring, I’m currently studying for a Master’s in Educational Leadership & Management at the University of Nottingham — because I believe the best teachers never stop learning.
Warm, structured, and built around your child
Confidence comes first
When a child believes they can, learning follows. Every session is built on encouragement, patience and celebrating small wins.
Real teaching expertise
As a qualified classroom teacher, I bring proper subject knowledge and tried-and-tested methods — not guesswork.
Tailored to your child
No two children learn the same way. I shape each session around your child's needs, pace and interests.
